Location:- Surat / Vadodara

Primary Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as an Area Sales Manager for our dairy business. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding sales activities within a designated geographic area.
Key Accountabilities/Activities:
Sales Target Achievement:
- Ensure the achievement of targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis as communicated by the Zonal Head Manager.
Distribution Network Management:
- Appoint Distributors, Agents, and set up parlors to expand the distribution network.
- Manage the distribution network, including monitoring sales executives and planning strategies to increase sales in the respective allotted areas.
- Identify the right Channel Partners for General Trade, develop infrastructure at distribution locations, and manage partner ROI.
Sales Planning and Reporting:
- Prepare various MIS reports related to sales and territory performance.
- Engage in sales planning and conduct periodic reviews of performance.
- Plan and manage the supply chain to ensure cost-effective distribution of the product to reach the last mile.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Exhibit team-leading skills and provide guidance and support to the sales team.
- Develop the capabilities of Sales Executives through training and mentoring.
- Motivate and train the sales team to improve their skills for better performance.
Communication and Decision-Making:
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders, including distributors, agents, and sales executives.
- Utilize effective decision-making skills in handling Direct Channel and Modern Trade.
Interpersonal and Negotiation Skills:
- Display strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Utilize negotiation skills in dealing with Channel Partners and other stakeholders.
Geographical Knowledge and Territory Management:
- Possess thorough knowledge of the geography and distribution models.
- Ability to carve out geographies into distribution territories for effective management.
Budget Planning and Management:
- Engage in budget planning and conduct periodic reviews of performance to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Work Relations:
Internal:
- Reporting to CEO for all Functional as well as administrative purposes.
- Interface with Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, Procurement, Engineering teams
- Interface with HR Teams
- Interface with Accounts, Finance, and Facility management teams.
External:
- Interface with Distributors and Dealers, Retailers, and Wholesalers
- Interface with Consumers, Institutional Buyers
- Interface with Foodservice and Hospitality Industry Network
- various clients, Marketing Agencies, Logistics and Transportation Providers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, Service Providers, villagers, distributors
Qualification:
Essential: Diploma, M.com/ B.com, Any Graduate/Postgraduate
Experience: 6-9 years of experience in Managing Dairy sales
- Ability to handle a front-line sales team.
- Strong planning skills to develop strategies and execute plans effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
- Decision-making skills to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Interpersonal skills to build rapport and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Negotiation skills to handle negotiations with Channel Partners and other stakeholders.
